Getting startedConnecting

Connecting

Add the Imploy MCP server to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another AI assistant.

The MCP URL

The endpoint is:

https://mcp.imploy.com.au/mcp

The URL to copy is shown in Integrations > AI assistants.

Connect with sign-in

  1. In your AI assistant, add a remote MCP server or connector, and paste the URL.
  2. The assistant opens a sign-in page. Sign in to Imploy and approve the connection.
  3. The assistant can then use the tools your role allows.

Sign-in connections must be allowed for your organisation. An owner turns this on in Integrations > AI assistants.

Different assistants label this step differently (for example, Connectors, MCP servers or Integrations). The sign-in and approval steps are the same.

Connect with an access token

  1. Create an access token in Integrations > Access tokens, and turn on AI assistant access.
  2. Give the token to the assistant as a Bearer token, or use it in a custom MCP client.
Authorization: Bearer imp_at_XXXX

An access token connection acts as the organisation owner, limited to the token's permission areas. Keep the token secret.

What the assistant sends

The endpoint speaks MCP over HTTP. It is stateless, and responds with JSON (not server-sent events). The assistant handles this for you, so the details below are only needed for a custom client.

  • Send POST requests with a JSON body, using the Authorization: Bearer header.
  • Messages are JSON-RPC 2.0. A message without an id is a notification and gets a 202 response with no body.
  • Supported protocol versions are 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26 and 2024-11-05.
  • The server supports initialize, ping, tools/list, tools/call, resources/list, resources/templates/list and resources/read.
