Connect an AI assistant
Add Imploy to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client.
MCP lets an AI assistant work with your Imploy data. You can connect in two ways. Pick one.
| Sign in | Access token | |
|---|---|---|
| Acts as | The user who approves it | The organisation owner, within the token's areas |
| Access follows | That user's role | The token's permissions |
| Best for | People using an assistant themselves | Servers, scripts and shared assistants |
The endpoint is https://mcp.imploy.com.au/mcp. The URL to copy is shown in Integrations > AI assistants.
Connect with sign in
Turn it on
An owner turns on sign-in connections in Integrations > AI assistants.
Add the server
In your assistant, add a remote MCP server or connector and paste the URL. Menus call this Connectors, MCP servers or Integrations, depending on the app.
Approve
The assistant opens a sign-in page. Sign in to Imploy and approve.
Test it
Ask "Who am I connected to in Imploy?". The assistant uses whoami to show the organisation and what it can read.
Connect with an access token
- Create a token in Integrations > Access tokens and turn on AI assistant access.
- Give the token to the assistant as a Bearer token:
Authorization: Bearer imp_at_XXXX.
A token acts as the organisation owner. Give it only the permission areas you intend, and only share it with assistants you trust.
If it doesn't work
See Troubleshooting for the exact messages. The usual causes are a switch that is off, an expired token, or a missing permission area.
